Job OverviewAs a Cosmetic Sales Colleague—also known as a Beauty Advisor—you serve as the trusted expert our customers turn to for all things beauty. Passionate about products and people, you play a key role in creating a personalized, inspiring shopping experience that builds confidence and drives sales. You educate customers, conduct product demonstrations, provide tailored consultations (including makeup application and skincare recommendations), and introduce new items that match their unique needs and style.
Building lasting client relationships is at the heart of your role; you proactively grow and manage a loyal client base through consistent follow‑up, virtual outreach, and personalized service—always with the goal of exceeding expectations and achieving sales goals.
- They begin each day energized and ready to make an impact—wearing their name badge with pride, greeting teammates, and ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized, and ready for customers.
- They focus on the customer—offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations to build relationships that bring customers back.
- Throughout the day they maintain a shoppable space—refreshing signage, helping with merchandise moves, and sharing Loyalty Program benefits to end each customer interaction on a positive note.
- They support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration so they can better serve customers and communities.
- They strive for excellence—improving every day, achieving sales goals, and learning from each other to deliver individual and store results.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to:
- Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
- Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships with customers, uncovering their needs, demonstrating product application, and educating them on the benefits of beauty products.
- Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized and shoppable space, leveraging clienteling tools, participating in sales events, and staying up to date through ongoing training and vendor education.
- Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service.
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
- Have at least one year of customer service or selling experience.
Physical Requirements You Will Perform
- Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, reaching—often above eye level.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash register; ability to process register transactions.
