This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.
Provide security for the safety and protection of Hospitals patients, staff, general public, and properties.Periodically patrol buildings and grounds of Hospital. Examine doors, windows, and other points of entry to determine that they are secure. Tags and records all points of entry found unlocked or unsecured.
Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts, in accordance to applicable laws. Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of Hospital property.
Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and other acts of suspicious instances. Records all incidents in writing or electronic media. Assists local authorities with investigation of incidents committed on Hospital properties. Reports all criminal acts to the appropriate Security Leadership and/or local authorities. Assists Hospital staff as required providing protection and safety to patients or other individuals. Adheres to all general orders and or special orders as directed.

Position QualificationsLicense/Certification/
Education:
Required:
Fit testing for Tuberculosis Respirator Masks;
Hazard Communication Program;
Annual Fire Suppression and Hazard Recognition Training;
Annual Self Defense and Management of Violent Situations Training;
Annual Training and physical completion for the Emergency Response Team; and other training as may be determined by the Supervisor of Public Safety.
