Westaff Hiring HVAC Technician for a Consumer Products Manufacturer in Milford, CT!
Pay:$42.29/hr
Hours: 1st shift, 7:30am-3:30pm M-F. Some overtime/weekend availability required
The HVAC Technician responsibilities include:
- Installation and repair of air-conditioning, refrigeration, heating, fire protection, plumbing, and security systems within a manufacturing environment in accordance with building codes and safety regulations
- Troubleshooting and correcting plumbing, electrical, and HVAC related issues
- Responding to emergency calls due to equipment/system failure
- Completing all preventative/corrective equipment maintenance as scheduled and ensuring documentation of work completed with customers/management
- Operation of building plant systems, including chillers, boilers, water treatment systems, air compressors, pumps, etc.
- Adhering to all company operational policies/procedures as required
- Working to complete routine equipment maintenance such as lubrication, inspection, cleaning, and replacement of parts as needed
The HVAC Technician requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing/facility environment
- Possession of S1 or S2 license, and/or EPA refrigeration Universal Certification
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and/or Energy Management Systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb. and climb ladders
- Overtime/weekend work may be required
- Ability to effectively communicate/collaborate with other workers/management
