Avionics Technician - 1045

Location:

Millville, NJ 08332, USA. Full-time, on-site.

About the Role

Our Avionics Maintenance Technicians troubleshoot and repair problems to component level on avionics units such as Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, and Autopilot systems, as well as the aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components, and repair work.
  • Troubleshoot and evaluate aircraft systems when designated.
  • Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components when designated.
  • Verify aircraft movement and performance of systems.
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
  • Work with customers in project management, pricing and support roles.
  • Work independently on projects.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
  • Communicate effectively in English (speak, write, read).
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred.

1+ year of experience on Avionics repair or installations is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Additional Requirements
  • Strong work ethic, self‑motivated, and able to perform in a fast‑paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Capability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation to work daily.
  • Adherence to Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Adherence to company safety rules.
  • Customer‑oriented work habits.
  • Physical fitness: lift up to 50 lbs; routine walking, bending, squatting, standing; climbing ladders and stairs; work in small restricted areas.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, evaluate and perform functional tests for various avionics and instrument systems.
  • Professional teamwork.
Compensation & Benefits

The hourly rate generally ranges between $39.00–$49.00. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, 401(k) company match, and employer contribution to Health Savings Account (HSA).
