The Tone:
This is an internship at Consigli Construction Co., Inc., located in-person. As a leading construction company, Consigli builds a wide array of vital projects, from complex infrastructure to community facilities. This Corporate Accounting Intern role is essential for ensuring the accurate and compliant management of the company’s financial operations, directly supporting the sustained success of our construction endeavors. It provides hands‑on experience in a corporate setting, offering valuable exposure to key accounting processes.

Corporate Accounting Department, Finance Division - Mission:
This intern will ensure accurate financial record‑keeping and support key accounting processes to maintain the organization’s financial integrity. - Tech Stack:
Microsoft Office, Excel
- Project Setup:
Facilitate the initiation of new projects by assigning job numbers and establishing them within various accounting system modules. - Month‑End Support:
Contribute to the monthly close process by preparing account reconciliations and analyzing general ledger variances to ensure accuracy. - Subcontractor Oversight:
Assist in managing subcontractor relationships through document prequalification review, comprehensive file maintenance, and support for the renewal process. - Cash & Contract Management:
Process daily cash receipts and deposits, and meticulously track owner contract processing and maintain contract records. - Compliance & Documentation:
Support sales and use tax compliance, assist with internal audit initiatives, and organize critical financial and administrative records.
- Background:
Entry‑level professional currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with a strong interest in corporate accounting and financial operations. - Experience:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, particularly Excel. - Skills:
Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Bonus:
Previous internship, accounting, finance, or administrative experience is a plus.
