Construction Director - Data Centre

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Director to lead and oversee the successful delivery of data centre projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of construction activities, with a strong focus on project and construction management, as well as design-build delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in managing large-scale, complex construction projects, particularly within the data centre sector, and will play a key role in driving operational excellence and achieving project objectives.

• Lead the end-to-end management of data centre construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Oversee all aspects of project and construction management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design-build delivery processes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to address challenges and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the construction process.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present regular project updates, reports, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

• Proven experience as a Construction Director or in a similar leadership role, with a strong focus on data centre projects.
• Extensive knowledge of project and construction management principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in design-build delivery and managing large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, systems, and operational requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
