Plumb House is seeking motivated Project Engineers to join our construction team and build a long-term career in commercial construction. This opportunity is well suited for recent graduates and early-career professionals who want hands‑on exposure to the planning, coordination, and execution of large‑scale construction projects.

Founded in 1973, Plumb House is a family‑founded general contractor specializing in wood‑frame and cast‑in‑place multifamily construction throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. With more than 23, 000 apartment units completed, Plumb House has built its reputation on quality, safety, productivity, and long‑standing relationships with owners and developers.

Project Engineers will work closely with experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel while gaining exposure to both project operations and field construction. Depending on experience, interests, and career goals, employees will have opportunities to develop toward either project management or field leadership.

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with the day‑to‑day coordination of construction projects.
• Support project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change documentation, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
• Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and other contract documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal project team members.
• Track submittals, RFIs, procurement items, and other project deliverables to help maintain schedule requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and assist with documenting action items and follow‑up responsibilities.
• Support project scheduling, cost tracking, change management, and forecasting activities.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and monitor progress against project plans and schedules.
• Spend time in the field observing construction activities and developing an understanding of sequencing, quality, safety, and constructability.
• Work collaboratively with Plumb House's self‑performing teams, including concrete, wood framing, siding, and interior finish operations.
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists, turnover documentation, and other completion activities.
• Promote Plumb House's commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and professional conduct.
• Take on increasing levels of responsibility as construction knowledge and project experience develop.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Recent graduates and candidates beginning their careers in construction are encouraged to apply.
• Previous construction internship, co‑op, or field experience is beneficial but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, clients, and design professionals.
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and follow‑through skills.
• Comfortable working in both office and active construction‑site environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; exposure to construction management software is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
