Responsible for the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice.
Major ResponsibilitiesAll responsibilities are essential job functions.
Position QualificationsLicense/Certification/Education
- Required:
- Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
- BLS through either American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is a requirement for every RN within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS through American Heart Association (AHA) required in select areas (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
- PALS through American Heart Association (AHA) required in select areas (PACU, ED) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
- NRP Advanced Provider through American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) required in select areas (Maternity) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
Experience/Skills
- Required:
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Work is considered medium. Position requires work indoors in a patient care environment.
