Position Summary

The Cannabis Logistics & Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing inventory control, internal product movement, and logistics operations within a licensed cannabis facility. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, compliance with state regulations, and efficient coordination between production, packaging, storage, and distribution. The Logistics & Inventory Lead maintains strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal SOPs while supervising inventory staff and supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking in the state seed-to-sale system (e.g., METRC or other regulatory platforms).
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and document corrective actions.
  • Ensure all cannabis materials, finished goods, and waste are properly recorded and reconciled.
Logistics & Product Movement
  • Coordinate the movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products between departments (cultivation, processing, packaging, and vault storage).
  • Ensure all product transfers are properly documented and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee intake of materials, including packaging supplies and cannabis product transfers.
  • Prepare and coordinate outbound transfers to dispensaries or other licensed facilities.
Compliance & Recordkeeping
  • Ensure all inventory processes comply with state cannabis regulations and company SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Support internal and regulatory audits by providing inventory reports and documentation.
  • Ensure secure storage and proper labeling of all cannabis products.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and train inventory or logistics technicians.
  • Assign daily tasks related to inventory counts, product movement, and supply organization.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, safety, and accountability.
Operational Coordination
  • Collaborate with production, packaging, and quality teams to ensure accurate product flow.
  • Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and production supplies.
  • Support production scheduling by ensuring required materials are available.
Safety & Security
  • Follow all facility security procedures and access protocols.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of cannabis products.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and vaults to meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry strongly preferred.
Skills
  • Experience with seed-to-sale tracking systems (METRC experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and inventory control skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong documentation practices.
  • Ability to supervise and train team members.
  • Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a production facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Work Environment
  • Licensed cannabis manufacturing/production facility.
  • Must comply with all company safety, sanitation, and security policies.
  • May require working in secured areas with restricted access.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
