Registered Nurse (RN) – Direct Patient Care
Schedule and Compensation- Exemption Status:
Non-Exempt - Hiring Range: $37.75 – $79.52 (final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations)
- Shift: 4 – Mixed Shift, 8 hours.
Hours:
0645‑1515, 1445‑2315, 2300‑0700. Holidays: 1 major summer holiday, 1 major winter holiday. - Signing bonus may be available depending on eligibility confirmed by the Recruitment Team.
- Cost Center: 26000 – 3979
- Utilize the nursing process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to developmental age of patient population.
- Perform patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
- Develop and coordinate individualized plan of care including discharge planning.
- Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
- Delegate care appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required for every RN unless Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is current; additional unit‑specific certifications and competencies required as applicable.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months for select areas (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU, Float Pool).
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 6 months for select areas (PACU, ED).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider required within 6 months for Maternity areas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
- Proficient in the discipline of nursing; comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice.
- Proven ability to apply nursing process from admission to discharge.
- Experience in coordinating interdisciplinary care and discharge planning.
- Strong leadership, delegation, and supervision skills.
- Work considered medium intensity, indoors in patient care environment.
- May require prolonged standing, walking, and lifting of patients and equipment.
- Exposure to clinical environments and potentially infectious or hazardous materials.
