Position: RN MRMC - Med/Surg/Ortho - 24 eve

Overview

UMass Memorial Health caregiver opportunity. Exemption Status:
Non-Exempt. Hiring range: $37.75 - $79.52 per hour. Final offer may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.

Schedule:

Holidays every other;
Mondays through Fridays with weekends every other weekend.

Hours:

Shift: Evening, 8 hours. Cost Center: 26000 - 0223. Union: MNA-Milford Regional Medical Center (Massachusetts Nurses Association). A signing bonus may be available; eligibility will be confirmed during the interview process.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population.
  • Perform patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
  • Develop and coordinate individual plans of care including discharge planning.
  • Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
  • Delegate appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
  • Position Qualifications

    License/Certification/

    Education:

    Required

  • Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
  • BLS through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS through AHA required in select areas (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU, Float Pool) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
  • PALS through AHA required in select areas (PACU, ED) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
  • NRP Advanced Provider through AAP required in select areas (Maternity) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly preferred.
  • Experience/

    Skills:

    Required:
    Thorough knowledge of the discipline of nursing. If certification, licensure, or registration is not required, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.
