American Traveler is seeking an ER Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.
Details- General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations
- Level I/II Trauma Center that is also STEMI and Stroke certified
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Meditech EMR required
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) with EOW/EOH rotation
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations - must be able to work all 7 days
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS, TNCC, and de-escalation training (MOAB/CPI/AVADE) preferred
- 1+ years of ED experience required
- Meditech charting system experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Previous travel experience highly preferred
- Skilled in pediatric, psychiatric, IV therapy, respiratory, neurological, cardiac monitoring, and orthopedic emergency care
- Two references required, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- No history of prior disciplinary action on nursing license allowed for consideration
- Provide emergency care for a broad patient population including trauma, respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and psychiatric cases
- Must pass a Pass/Fail telemetry (EKG) test and medication exam during orientation with an 80% passing score and only one attempt allowed
- Complete required pre-start and orientation modules, with additional annual modules
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on candidate fit
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
