The company produces parts ranging from prototypes to full-scale production, including complex geometries and intricate designs in materials such as crystals, plastics, and plano optics. DTI operates from a state-of-the- ft 10,000 sq. ft. facility designed to handle demanding optical manufacturing requirements.

Its capabilities include advanced diamond turning lathes, high-speed mills, and 5-axis CNC macines supported by high-precision interferometers, profilers, dimensioning instruments, and microscopes. With these resources, DTI delivers consistent precision, quality, and innovation for customers across diverse applications.

Role Description

The Process Engineer role at Diamond Turning Innovations is a full-time, on-site position based in Milford, NH. This role is responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes for optical components, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and safety. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing process data, developing and implementing process controls, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Process Engineer will document procedures, establish standards, and assist in scaling processes from prototype to full production while maintaining compliance with internal and customer requirements. The role also involves supporting equipment qualification, contributing to root cause investigations, and recommending technical improvements to enhance throughput and reduce waste.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Process Design, with experience developing and optimizing manufacturing workflows.
  • Competence in Process Control and Analytical Skills for monitoring performance, interpreting data, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related required
  • Knowledge of precision manufacturing, CNC or automated equipment, and familiarity with optical or advanced materials processing is beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in a production environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and basic statistical process control is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field; prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
