Batch Technician - First Shift

If you have previously worked as a Line Cook, Chef, or in an environment where you had to follow instructions to the T, you may have the skills to be a Batch Technician with Alene Candles! The Batch Technician is a physical role with lifting, bending, twisting, and being on your feet the entire shift. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

If you are good with basic math, have a keen attention to detail, like baking or cooking, following recipes, and a team environment, then the Batch Technician position might be for you!

The hours for this position are 3:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday - Thursday, although the start time may vary depending on the needs of the business.

During our busy season we anticipate there being some Overtime available. Busy season is happening now and we anticipate it running through October. The final two weeks of the year, we are shut down for the holidays and inventory. During this time we cannot guarantee full time hours for our employees.

The Batch Technician I position pays $24.00/hour.

In addition, we are offering a $2,000 sign on bonus, split into two payments. The first payment of $1,000 will be included in your first paycheck, and the final $1,000 payment will be paid in your first check after completing 90 days of service.

We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This position is onsite.

• Required to follow batch sheets and standard formulas to accurately identify and measure amounts and weights of components for each job when required or use prepared "kit" of materials ready for mixing. Complete all necessary paperwork thoroughly and accurately to meet company and customer SOP's.
• Combine components in tanks to produce and supply wax batches for fill lines.
• Maintain accurate records of each drum to track fragrance and other components used.
• Review work schedules and work with Supervision to anticipate and meet production demand.
• Develop component knowledge to alert Supervision of low inventory levels or potential shortages and maintain records for proper and accurate inventory control.
• Maintain the condition of equipment and tools assigned to the area as well as cleanliness and organization of the area to assure a safe working environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Specific vision ability to distinguish between color.

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)

• 12 months related experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs independently

• Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
