Responsibilities
  • Bill of Material creation and auditing existing;
    Bill of Materials. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for projects.
  • Estimate costs by evaluating the entire project.
  • Read and understand engineering specifications.
  • Build unique bills of material.
  • Acquire pricing from vendors.
  • Handle change order pricing and proposals.
  • Create Sale Orders in Sage accounting software.
  • Provide Sales Quotes from calculated cost of the product.
  • Present cost estimates to upper management for review and approval.
  • Prepare reports detailing the complete costs going into a project. Input cost data into company database.
  • Analyze differences between estimated cost and actual cost and provide updates to management. Review customer requirements for a project.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to prepare proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, purchasing and manufacturing to ensure an effective process is completed to ensure BOM s etc. are accurate.
  • Take-offs from drawings provided.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Create AutoCAD or Solid Works drawings.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience working as an estimator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Project Management experience/certification a plus.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to create a professional presentation.
  • Ability to create reports on costing data.
  • Amazing analytical and math skills.
  • Familiarity with Solid Works a plus.
  • Ability to work well on a team.
  • Very detail-oriented.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements.
