Job Description
AWS Cloud Operations L2 Engineer (Export Control Eligible) responsible for managing and supporting cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. This role focuses on ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable cloud services for the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Providing L2 support for cloud infrastructure components such as EC2, load balancers, IAM, VPC, S3, Cloud Formation, and others.
- Leading the implementation and definition of Infrastructure as Code tools including Cloud Formation, Chef, Jenkins, Terraform, and Git.
- Managing and configuring core IAM services, security groups, network ACLs, and access controls within the IT infrastructure.
- Configuring and validating backups, mount storage, and cybersecurity tools.
- Setting up and verifying logging and monitoring solutions, including Cloud Watch and other monitoring tools.
- Managing load balancers, installing SSL certificates, and supporting authentication for secure application deployment.
- Ensuring secure and scalable cloud environments using AWS services and following best practices.
- Coordinating incident calls and cross‑team communication following ITIL practices.
- Strong experience with AWS services:
Cloud Networking, Security, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, SG/NLB/ALB, EKS/ECS, Cloud Watch, Route 53. - Advanced troubleshooting skills in Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud Formation and other IaC tools.
- Experience with agent types such as Qualys, Crowd Strike, Splunk, New Relic, Chef, Prisma.
- Understanding of cloud networking, monitoring, and security concepts.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience leading incident calls, coordinating with multiple teams, and managing major incidents and escalations.
- 10+ years of infrastructure and/or cloud operations experience, with 5+ years of hands‑on AWS experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- ITIL Foundation
- Base Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000 per annum.
