Warehouse Quality Inspector – 3rd shift

Location: Milford

Shift: Mon – Thurs, 8pm-6:30am

Pay: $17 to start

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for an individual with proven experience in Quality Inspection who has a strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

Great attendance is critical to be successful in this position. Responsible for performing hourly checks on all production lines ensuring that product produced meets quality and customer standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Hourly checks on production lines.
  • Approving first piece samples within first 45 minutes of production run verifying that all components and quantities used match BOM and Planogram.
  • Signing/approving all start up sheets and filing in appropriate job folder.
  • Auditing documents to verify that the correct forms and revisions are being used as well as following Good Documentation Practices.
  • Oversees and assigns hold process and rework as well as to quarantine non-compliant products and communicates all details to Quality Manager.
  • Assists in internal auditing (GMP, glass and brittle plastics, pest control, housekeeping).
  • During rounds, Quality Inspector will be responsible for monitoring that all GMP’s are being followed and addressing non-compliances when found.
  • Ensures that all new 3rd shift employees have signed the GMP packets.
  • Bin and Rack auditing “verifying inventory control and items picked compared to Lot Usage Consumption Sheet.”
  • Communicates pass-down information from 1st shift to 3rd.
  • Monitor product damages.
  • Ability to work overtime as the job requires
REQUIRED

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Quality experience.
REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Attention to detail.
  • General Manufacturing Operations.
  • Internal Auditing experience.
  • Knowledge of BRC Standards and HACCP.
  • Knowledge of GMP Standards.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Basic math skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Body motor skills sufficient to move around in a warehouse/assembly environment.
