Position Summary:
Responsible for the planning, delivery and management of direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. The role serves a multidisciplinary surgical practice covering Vascular, Cardiology, Pain & Anesthesia.
- Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration
- BLS required for every RN within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- ACLS required in select areas (Gannett, MP1, ICU, ED, Cath Lab, Endo, IR, PACU, Float Pool) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner (American Heart Association).
- PALS required in select areas (PACU, ED) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner (American Heart Association).
- NRP Advanced Provider required in select areas (Maternity) within 6 months or first scheduled course offering whichever is sooner (American Academy of Pediatrics).
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing; where certification, licensure or registration is not required, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
