ResponsibilitiesThe Painter/Plasterer performs various duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Maintenance services are provided in accordance with facility policies and procedures to enhance resident comfort and enhance the quality of life.
- Demonstrate skill with wall plaster, plaster repair and painting. Experience with wallpaper on plaster is a plus.
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to interact with facility staff and residents to answer questions and to make prompt efforts to resolve grievances.
- Ability to self-start, maintain a routine schedule and have ability to re-prioritize work when needed.
- Able to respond to change productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned. Able to respond to needs of facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of one (2) years painting and plaster repair in an institutional environment.
- Vocational training in skilled trade or other relevant training preferred.
