Punahou School is actively seeking an Administrative Specialist for the Learning Commons. The primary responsibility of the Learning Commons’ faculty & staff is to facilitate deeper, more relevant and enduring learning by our students and faculty. More than a building, the Learning Commons is an instructional philosophy that builds congruency between students' experiences in school and the real world and that provides technological, creative and human resources to transform students' questions into meaningful and authentic challenges.
As the front face of the Academy Learning Commons, the Administrative Specialist acts as a first point of contact for the School and for the Learning Commons, acting at all times in a welcoming and professional manner. The Administrative Specialist will provide a range of clerical, technical, and administrative support to assist students, faculty and others to promote, extend, and make effective use of the Learning Commons’ resources, collections, and programs.
Also, they will support effective and efficient operations related to circulation, acquisition, and the cataloging/processing of print and non-print materials, supplies and related equipment.

- Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs - Minimum Hourly Rate*: $21.30/Hour

The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position. Pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors such as knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant training and experience, and internal equity.
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- Three (3) years of experience working with high school students.
- Three (3) years of experience in an administrative role requiring strong technical ability and customer service.
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Webex, Microsoft Teams. Working knowledge of relational databases and student information systems.
- Must have flexible thinking and problem solving skills.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
