Reading Specialist; Part time

Responsibilities

• Informally evaluate and assess struggling learners identified by classroom teachers and administrators
• Communicate with administrators, teachers, and parents about the results of the informal evaluation
• Partner with the Lower School Principal to identify students who need Level Up small group or individual Tutoring
• Work with family and classroom teacher to schedule lessons
• Write Independent Learning Contracts (ILCs) based on a student’s professional evaluation, teacher input, and administrator’s approval
• Coordinate an ILC meeting with parent, teacher, and self to review the details of the ILC
• Support classroom teachers
