Salary$3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR-11, Step C to I)
Role OverviewPerform highly complex library support work; supervise and participate in complex library activities; provide substantive technical/paraprofessional support that requires knowledge of library science techniques and terminology; and perform other related duties as assigned.

- Provide non‑professional support for a school library (if required)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- One year of clerical work experience demonstrating knowledge of spelling and arithmetic, the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to compare words and numbers quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to perform various clerical procedures, operate office equipment, and interact with others in a tactful and polite manner.
- At least two years of progressively responsible experience in a library that involved activities such as circulation, stack maintenance, processing orders for library materials, posting receipt of periodicals, locating and verifying bibliographic information, and other related duties.
- Knowledge and application of library terminology, practices, policies, and procedures, including bibliographic description, catalog card elements, standard library tools and reference sources, and classification schemes such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress.
- At least one year of this specialized experience must be comparable to the Library Assistant IV level.
Demonstrated aptitude or potential for supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments that involve supervisory responsibilities, team leadership, or training courses in supervision.
Driver's LicenseValid driver's license required at the time of appointment.
Lifting CapacityAbility to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 80 pounds assisted by another person or equipment.
