Overview
Universal Banker (West O'ahu & North O'ahu) at Bank of Hawaii — join our team to provide exceptional customer experiences and guide clients through digital banking options. Branch locations include:

- Manages overall branch client experience. Proactively engages existing and prospective clients to understand and interact with 21st century banking advancements by demonstrating transactions using technology, creates interest, handles objections, and guides customers to the proper banker for assistance. Shadowing and resolution of complaints, managing lobby activity, and ensuring smooth flow of customer interactions.
- Maintains and sells financial services to clients by addressing both short-term and long-term goals through profiling. Identifies needs, cross-sells, opens new accounts, contacts prospects, and performs teleconsulting.
- Sells financial products and services, processes applications, and closes for consumer credit products. Provides high-quality service, processes a wide range of transactions (cash handling, deposits, withdrawals, payments, cashier’s checks, traveler’s checks), balances cash, and supports vault/ATM/cash recycler and armored car duties. Trains new employees on procedures.
- Identifies and cultivates new high-value clients. Manages calling efforts, referrals, sales tracking and prospecting to meet personal sales goals and contribute to team goals. Maintains customer relationships and supports promotion and marketing of the Bank and its products.
- Keeps informed of bank policies, procedures, laws and regulations, and maintains knowledge of new products, programs, and promotions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent related work experience.
- 2+ years in consumer sales, marketing and customer service. 2+ years of teller experience. Demonstrated ability to advance skills in personal finance areas including investments, insurance, mortgage, etc.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Customer Experience, Laws & Regulations, Technology Literacy, Communication, Accuracy & Efficiency, and Relationship Building. Knowledge of Product/Service Knowledge, Agility, Risk Management, Problem Solving, Consultative Solutions, and Results Driven.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as assigned. Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must have own transportation and the ability to commute reliably. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
