Cambridge International Systems, Inc. invites you to join a dynamic global team that values commitment, integrity, and perseverance. This full‑time Operations Specialist position will be based in Oahu, Hawaii and requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
Salary Range: $70,000 to $91,000.
What You’ll Do- Serve on a 24/7 support team, overseeing daily operations and ensuring mission support systems (generators, HVAC, etc.) remain fully functional.
- Monitor IT mission equipment—servers, clients, routers, switches, and telecommunications cabling—and provide basic troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
- Keep senior leadership and program managers informed with timely updates and situational‑awareness documentation.
- Conduct pass‑down briefings, maintain logs, and train newly assigned or junior watch standers.
- Develop, update, and administer operations procedures and SOPs.
- Facilitate project status meetings with government and company project teams to identify risks and recommend solutions.
- Create and submit deliverables such as SOPs, system assessments, and project status reports to government stakeholders.
- Instruct craft personnel and technical staff on equipment operations, maintenance methods, safe work practices, and apprenticeship programs.
- Ensure project deadlines and scopes are maintained while directing others as required.
- Provide front‑line and high‑level IT hardware, software, and network support to internal and external clients.
- Reply to technical assistance requests, troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues, and escallate when necessary.
- Support core business applications, virtual environments, firewalls, and networking.
- Plan, design, configure, and implement IT hardware and software systems, monitoring and maintaining physical and virtual servers and appliances.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Four (4) years of experience working in a team environment.
- Current DoD Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Proficiency with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
- Experience acting as an escalation manager liaison between operations and support.
- Initiative and strong teamwork skills, with the ability to keep leadership informed of shifting priorities and challenges.
- Well organized and detail‑oriented.
- Ability to follow SOPs.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Confidence and credibility with managers and senior‑level Navy leaders, fostering open communication within teams.
- Capacity to work effectively in diverse environments including civilians, military, and contractors.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple issues and assignments with considerable judgment and initiative.
- Develop solutions to routine technical problems following detailed instructions.
- Proficiency with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies.
- Some overnight stays may be required.
Work Environment Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk‑based computer work.
- Occasional extended work hours, evenings or weekends as needed.
- Work performed in a secure facility where personal electronic devices may be restricted.
- Physical activities may include bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, consistent with lift guidelines.
- Use of tools and equipment as required.
- Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
- Management of competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail.
- Interaction with others in dynamic environments requiring problem‑solving and conflict resolution.
- Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR.
