Store Associate (HELE Mililani Mauka | Part-Time)

Work Location: 95-1141 Ukuwai St, Mililani, HI 96789

Salary Range: $16.25 - $19.15 hourly with $3.00 shift differential eligibility.

Schedule: Shift schedule determined by operational needs and candidate availability; store associates may work swing or high‑need shifts.

Job Responsibilities
  • Works at multiple store locations as scheduled.
  • Consistently provides prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump.
  • Complies with company policies and store procedures, including all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise.
  • Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
  • Participates in all safety programs and trainings; attends mandatory job‑related meetings/training as needed.
  • Performs cleaning duties to maintain site cleanliness inside and out and basic upkeep of all equipment on the site; assists with identifying equipment problems and reports as needed.
  • Follows health and safety guidelines for food service handling in compliance with all state and local requirements.
  • Performs all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work flexible hours, attend job‑related meetings, and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains reliable means of transportation to travel between sites as scheduled.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
  • Ability to see with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to read store inventory levels, items purchased, gas pumps in operation, and identify issues with gas pumps.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures (e.g., respond to safety alarms, contact 911 for emergencies).
  • Frequent reaching overhead, gripping, wrist movements, and finger dexterity required to restock inventory, package items sold, operate the POS system, receive payments, issue change, operate gas pumps, wipe pumps, maintain store grounds, and perform general housekeeping.
  • Frequent squatting and kneeling required for obtaining and/or replenishing items.
  • Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (while utilizing a hand‑truck).
  • Frequent lifting of 20 pounds or less from floor to waist, overhead, and carrying a short distance.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb a stepladder to stock or retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math accurately.
  • Ability to communicate in English (oral and written), including proficient telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to work various shifts as scheduled, and arrive on time.
  • Ability to work with equipment, tools and materials as required.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and work in the conditions described.
  • Maintains reliable means of transportation to travel between work sites as scheduled.
