The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the store in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager.

• Demonstrate mastery of the DOING of Team Member with ease, enthusiasm and excellence.
• Lead shifts that focus on team engagement and guest satisfaction, with an unwavering commitment to Make Fun Happen.
• Strategically maximize product sales and manage waste.
• Take ownership of the store’s look and feel (total store vision).
• Understand day‑to‑day deployment and role responsibilities.
• Leverage effective floor communication, anticipate and address team & guest needs.
• Communicate and delegate priorities throughout the shift.
• Ensure team executes SOP and quality standards correctly.
• Coach, give feedback, and train team on roles, product knowledge, and promotions.
• Perform administrative tasks (bank deposits, inventory, product orders).
• Develop team members, discuss career and growth opportunities.

• At least 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail or customer service, or be trained and approved by Caribou Coffee.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, holidays and/or weekends as required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Preferred: high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, reach, stand 4–8hours, and meet other listed requirements.

The physical requirements for this position include hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50pounds, and standing for 4 to 8 hours, or the ability to accomplish the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.

Compensation Range: $12.75 - $21.25 per hour. Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations.
