Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) I
The Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day‑to‑day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts.
Responsibilities- Assess, identify and communicate recommendations for improvement of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Draft security incident reports and brief government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manage uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assign, train, brief site security duties and ensure timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
- Conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets.
- 1+ years related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree desired and counts toward 4 years of experience;
Associate’s degree counts toward 2 years of experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts toward 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts toward 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPD Certifications is no more than 5 years.
- Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements).
- Must have a TS/SCI Clearance and ability to obtain CI Poly.
- Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection, OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.
Likely salary range for this position is $91,375 - $123,625. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
