The Restorative Dental Hygienist – Pediatrics is a full-time (M-Th), on-site role based in Mill Creek, WA. This role focuses on delivering preventive and restorative dental hygiene services to children and adolescents, including dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, and patient education. Day-to-day responsibilities: administering anesthetic, performing restorative procedures, behavior management; in addition to: dental cleanings, taking and evaluating radiographs, documenting clinical findings, and supporting the dentist during pediatric procedures as needed.
The hygienist will teach age-appropriate oral hygiene techniques, discuss nutrition and habits affecting dental health, and communicate treatment recommendations to parents and caregivers. The role also involves maintaining infection control standards, preparing and organizing equipment and operatories, and contributing to a supportive, child-centered patient experience.
- Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Restorative Hygiene, with a focus on pediatric patients.
- Proficiency in Dental Care and Dental Prophylaxis, including routine cleanings and preventive treatments.
- Knowledge of Periodontal Disease in children and adolescents, including assessment and early intervention.
- Active state license as a Restorative Dental Hygienist and current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience or training in pediatric dentistry and working with children of diverse ages and needs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with young patients and their families.
- Commitment to infection control, safety protocols, and high standards of patient care.
- Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and willingness to collaborate with dentists and support staff.
- Experience or training in behavior management techniques for children and a compassionate approach to care.
