Position Overview

Member Consultant II – BECU, North District – Pay range: $26.00–$32.12 per hour

Impact You'll Make

Play a key role in delivering a seamless, high‑quality member experience: identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs and refer them to specialized services.

What You'll Do
  • Provide exceptional member experience and sales consultation across business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
  • Sign all line and loan documents originating through inbound/outbound call centers, ensuring member needs are fulfilled.
  • Assist the community with financial wellness education, budgeting, debt management, and financial planning resources.
  • Work across all pod branches for up to the first year, rotating as required.
  • Complete a 12‑week in‑house training program, travel to Tukwila Financial Center, and commute between branches.
  • Adapt to flexible shifts (Mon‑Fri 8:00‑18:30, up to 3 Saturdays/month 8:30‑13:30) and adjust schedules per business needs.
  • Remain in this role for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; two years of sales‑oriented, financial, or retail experience.
  • Desired

    Qualifications:

    One year experience in a financial institution; fluent Spanish highly desirable; thorough understanding of the sales process and pipeline management; strong proficiency with new systems and ability to navigate multiple systems; ability to complete 12‑week training; comprehensive knowledge of credit union objectives, products and services; knowledge of state and federal laws/regulations; excellent verbal and written communication; problem‑resolution, negotiation, organization, multi‑tasking, and peer‑coaching skills;

    ability to work flexible shifts.
