Qualifications
  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, EA, or CA qualification preferred (or actively pursuing CPA certification).
  • 6+ years of public accounting or tax outsourcing experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. Individual (1040), Business (1120, 1120S, 1065), Trust (1041), and Estate tax engagements.
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements and leading tax teams.
  • Ability to research and resolve complex tax matters independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software such as CCH Axcess, Ultra Tax CS, Lacerte, Pro Connect, Drake, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end tax engagements for U.S. CPA firms and business clients.
  • Review and finalize complex Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Trust, and Estate tax returns while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and training.
  • Coordinate directly with Partners, Directors, and client teams to ensure timely project delivery and exceptional client service.
  • Research complex tax issues and provide practical recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • Review work papers, identify tax planning opportunities, and ensure compliance with current federal and state tax regulations.
  • Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure adherence to firm quality standards, internal controls, and data security policies.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and implementation of best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and trusted advisory support.
  • Stay current with changes in tax legislation and participate in ongoing technical and leadership training.
