You will have the opportunity to:
- Manage diverse caseloads, supporting students and their families with needed resources, referrals, and community connections
- Provide counseling and guidance to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Conduct home visits to better understand and assist with family dynamics and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external organizations to ensure comprehensive care for each student
Preferred skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a school social worker or in a similar educational environment
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Current California school social work credential (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong ability to connect with children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent skills in communication, organization, and problem-solving
