About this role:We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to manage and grow a high-volume HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical service business. This role requires a strategic leader who excels in increasing both revenue and profitability while maintaining and enhancing customer relationships.
Responsibilities include cultivating and strengthening customer relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention. You will need exceptional hiring abilities, provide ongoing training, and use motivational skills to develop and lead a high-performing team. You will also be expected to develop and implement effective procedures and set clear goals that align with company policies and our mission. Building strong working relationships with colleagues, other managers, owners, and associates, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment are crucial.

In this role, you will be responsible for:As an Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our company by:
- Managing the HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Purchasing, Dispatch, and Warehouse departments, collaborating with department heads to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Contributing to the formulation and execution of the company’s strategic plan, working across all organizational levels to meet objectives.
- Ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, tracking progress, adjusting strategies as needed, and taking corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
- Planning and justifying manpower, staffing, tools, and investments necessary for effective and timely work execution.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Monitoring departmental budgets, goals, and objectives, taking actions to achieve profitability, analyzing reports to identify areas for improvement, and addressing customer feedback.
- Managing escalated client conflicts effectively to maintain positive relationships.
- Maintaining regular meetings with direct reports and their teams, planning and presenting updates on departmental initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals and providing constructive feedback.
- Facilitating strong relationships between Operations and Sales teams to minimize costs and delays by managing project details, recalls, inspections, changes, and discrepancies.
- Overseeing facilities management, vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to protect company assets.
- Directing the team’s operational and functional duties as outlined by management.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in an HVAC, Plumbing/Electrical service business and/or a related field.
- Proficient in quality management principles and effective communication.
- Experienced in management and conflict resolution.
- A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years’ driving experience is required.
- Knowledgeable in supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
- Persistent in achieving objectives and overcoming challenges.
- Sales-driven with the ability to lead and motivate both sales and operational staff.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities.
- Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
