What you’ll tackle
Install, upgrade, and replace residential HVAC systems with accuracy and efficiency.
Cut, thread, and connect copper/PVC; complete high- and low-voltage wiring.
Coach Install Helpers on technique, safety, and quality—on-site and in the shop.
Provide excellent communication and top-tier customer service to homeowners.
Lift, bend, and move objects 50+ pounds; keep a clean, organized truck and parts inventory.
Work at heights and in tight spaces (attics) in all weather conditions.
Adhere to appliance standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and company service standards.
Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
At least 1 year as an HVAC Lead Installer in residential settings.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
EPA certification.
Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking.
Energy, initiative, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Exceptional customer service and professional communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Flexibility and creativity in dynamic environments.
Physical demands
Lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Climb ladders, access attics, enter crawlspaces; push, carry, pull; use hand tools; perform fine detail work.
Drive regularly.
Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces.
Stand, walk, sit; talk or hear in person and by phone.
Use hands to handle or feel objects/controls; reach with hands and arms.
Frequently stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather (wind, rain, ice, snow).Southern Home Services will make reasonable accommodations to allow an employee to perform the essential functions of the job.
