Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a publicly traded Financial Services company located in a State of the Art office in Northern, NJ is looking for a Technical Accounting Manager. They offer great benefits and a hybrid work environment.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting policy function, including the development, implementation, and governance of accounting policies under U.S. GAAP. This role provides technical accounting guidance on complex and non-routine transactions, supports financial reporting initiatives, and partners with finance leadership to ensure accurate accounting records, compliance, and effective financial close processes.
- Serve as the organization's technical accounting resource by monitoring emerging accounting standards and assessing their impact on the business
- Lead the implementation of new accounting guidance and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions, business initiatives, and strategic projects
- Manage general accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial records
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare and review financial reports, analyses, and management reporting packages
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
- Coordinate audit support and prepare schedules and documentation for external auditors
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures
- Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Support internal control initiatives, including documentation and compliance activities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes
- CPA designation preferred
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
