Position: Mandarin Lead Teacher- FT or PT Options Available

We are looking for experienced and dedicated early childhood Mandarin teachers to inspire and teach infants, toddlers, and preschoolers at The Goddard School of Millburn. The role may include teaching multiple classes, supervising children, changing diapers, playing with, inspiring children, collaborating with colleagues, covering classes, and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with your team on the implementation of hands‑on activities and projects based on children's interests and skills.
  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned subject areas.
  • Provide learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, problem‑solving, critical, and creative thinking.
  • Create and provide a supportive and caring classroom environment in which students learn cooperatively and interact positively with one another.
  • Model respectful interactions with students of diverse backgrounds while responding to their individualized needs.
  • Teach multiple classes throughout the day, supervise children, change diapers, play with and inspire children, collaborate with colleagues, cover classes as needed, and communicate with parents.
Requirements
  • Three‑year minimum of teaching experience as a Teacher.
  • Degree in education, preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods.
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
Schedule
  • 8‑hour shift:
    Full‑Time, 40 hours per week plus a one‑hour lunch.
  • 5‑hour shift:
    Part‑Time, 25 hours per week plus a half‑hour lunch.
Education
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree.
License/Certification
  • CPR Certification (Preferred).
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred).
Compensation

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
