Summary
Manage daily operations of the alterations department, ensuring quality tailoring services and timely completion of customer orders. Supervise and coach alterations staff, maintain workflow, and uphold store standards while delivering excellent customer service. Monitor productivity, handle escalations, and coordinate with store management to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities- Oversee scheduling and daily tasks for alterations team to meet service deadlines.
- Ensure alterations and repairs meet quality and presentation standards.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate alterations staff performance and development.
- Manage customer interactions and resolve service issues or complaints.
- Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory of materials, and equipment maintenance.
- Experience in tailoring, alterations, or garment construction with supervisory exposure.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills; attention to detail and quality.
