Job Description

Essex Digestive Specialists, partnering with Allied Digestive Health, seeks a full‑time Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a hospital and outpatient‑based opportunity. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Summary

The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating care for patients in accordance with state and federal mandates. Duties include the assessment of health status, diagnosis, planning of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plans, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The practice is conducted in collaboration with other health‑care team members.

Essential

Skills
  • Knowledge of relevant medical and drug information for evaluating and treating gastroenterology patients.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider cards.
  • Eligibility for hospital privileges.
  • Strong multitasking ability with sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform duties accurately, timely, and efficiently.
  • Exemplary patient service skills with courtesy and respect.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining cordiality and patience in stressful situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency: electronic medical records and MS Office.
  • Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA laws and safeguards, always following these guidelines.
