Retail Operations Specialist
Role
Summary:
The Retail Operations Specialist will work with the Store Manager to maintain efficient back‑of‑house operations and accurate inventory while supporting the sales team in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Receives and processes incoming shipments.
- Notifies the inventory operations team of any discrepancies between product received in shipments and product listed on packing slip.
- Performs bi‑monthly cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, and action adjusts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Completes style number and price changes on carry‑over products as directed by the inventory operations team.
- Transfers product from the store when directed.
- Pricing any product received in the store without price tags.
- Maintains stock room organization and cleanliness to optimize efficiency and back‑stock levels.
- Checks inventory periodically and notifies management when replenishment of stock is needed.
- Keeps track of packaging supplies and shipping supplies, placing orders when supplies are low.
- Ensures compliance to maintain a 100% FFI rate and communicates any missed FFIs to the corporate office for correction.
- Partners with the Store Manager to hold the team accountable for this process on days when not in store.
- Researches missed PO checks and reports findings for inventory correction.
- Researches and receives Mass ASN, keeping PO paperwork organized and up to date.
- Pulls and researches negative on‑hand reports in tandem with article activity reports to find errors and get ahead of inventory issues as directed by management at least twice a week.
- Manages outgoing packages, helping to send client purchases as needed.
- A self‑motivated, self‑starter with ability to generate desired outcomes with little supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, great enthusiasm, and unmatched work flexibility.
- Prior experience in thoroughly analyzing inventory and preparing reports is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with customers, peers, and managers.
- Must be able to climb stairs, stand/stoop/bend/walk for 8-10 hours during shift, and lift and move boxes up to 35 pounds.
Education and Experience
Must have 1‑2 years of retail experience; luxury brand preferred.
CompensationUp to $34.00 per hour.
