Merchandising Colleague
As a Merchandising Colleague – also known as a Front of House Colleague – you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless, inspiring in-store experience. Your responsibilities include executing merchandise movement and placement strategies, enhancing the visual appeal of the sales floor, maintaining well‑organized displays, and ensuring that pricing and promotional signage is accurate and up to date.
You will be a visible and welcoming presence on the floor, greeting customers, offering assistance, and creating a friendly environment that supports sales and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Execute merchandise movement and placement strategies.
- Enhance visual appeal of the sales floor and maintain organized displays.
- Ensure accurate pricing and promotional signage.
- Greet customers, provide helpful information, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Update mannequins, reset floor layouts, and align presentation with company directives.
- Monitor and replenish merchandise, recover the floor and fitting rooms, and support needed merchandise moves.
- Share Loyalty program benefits and close interactions with a sincere thank‑you.
- Collaborate with teammates to complete loose ends and prepare the space for the next day.
- Stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders, reaching above eye level.
- Near vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment required.
- Frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, and cash register to process transactions.
- Effective communication with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies, safety rules and procedures in English.
- Create a welcoming, friendly environment for customers and colleagues.
- Develop product knowledge and give expert guidance to customers.
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
- Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions.
- Work seamlessly with colleagues at all levels and across departments to drive sales.
- Meet daily sales goal challenges.
Full‑time colleagues typically work 30 or more hours per week; part‑time colleagues work 12–24 hours per week. Schedules include weekend shifts. Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with reliable attendance is required.
