Job Overview

We are looking for a Store Support employee who is passionate about fashion, energetic, and provides excellent customer service at the point of sale.

• Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns and other transactions while delivering amazing customer service.
• Keep the service quick, easy and fun by listening to customer needs and sharing your love for fashion.
• Act as a great team player by keeping the department “runway ready,” including straightening up, lightly cleaning and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
• Stay up on key fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
• Build relationships with customers by informing them about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Provide support to other areas of the store, including order fulfillment and order pick‑up.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requests from customers in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and follow‑through.
• Problem‑solving aptitude.
• Proficiency with computers and a willingness to learn new computer applications.
• Flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs.

Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.

Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.

Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.

Hourly pay: $20.00 – $20.80.

Commission:
Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%. Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive 3%.
