Eataly’s cheese department is home to more than 500 of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses and meats are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Deli Food Service Artisan prepares, packages, receives, and stocks product with passion for cheese and Italian meats, sharing that passion with guests. The role reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of cold foods, including meats and cheeses
• Samples products to customers
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk‑in preparation, and refrigerators
• Checks in‑stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary
• Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
• Assists with periodic inventory checks
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
• Cleans work station thoroughly
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Basic Skills

• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of cheese highly preferred
• Knowledge of deli meats
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Requirements

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well‑paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, packaging machinery and a cash register
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
• Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members, customers, and vendors
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members
