Retail Merchandiser - Night Shift

About the Role

Macy’s is more than just a store. A story about innovations and customers and colleagues. As a Merchandising Colleague – also known as a Front of House Colleague – you’ll play a critical role in delivering a seamless, inspiring in‑store experience.

• Execute merchandise movement and placement strategies.
• Enhance the visual appeal of the sales floor and support visual merchandising by updating mannequins and resetting floor layouts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable space, including recovering the floor and fitting rooms and updating signs and pricing.
• Replenish merchandise and support needed merchandise moves throughout the day.
• Greet customers with a warm welcome, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations.
• Actively listen to customer needs and provide thoughtful assistance to build relationships that bring customers back.
• Assist in sales‑boosting events and help the store achieve daily sales goal challenges.
• Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline sales and elevate the customer experience.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures.

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to create a connection with customers and support sales goals.
• Ability to learn about products in the store and give expert guidance based on customer wants, features, and choices.
• Experience opening credit accounts and processing register transactions.
• Comfortable with frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, and a cash register.

Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are typically scheduled 12–24 hours per week. Schedules include weekend shifts as part of the requirements.
