Job Summary

Sales Advisor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and upholding Ted Baker brand standards. The role requires passion for fashion, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing an outstanding shopping experience at the Sherman Oaks Bloomingdale s location.

Essential Functions People
  • A high level of team participation, working with integrity and respect for others.
  • Actively drive and document your own learning to contribute to the success of the team and location.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to the needs of the business in support of the team and the location.
  • Develop strategic partnerships and maintain productive relationships with host store partners.
Product
  • Use all available Ted’s trainings, tools and information to stay up to date on current product and increase awareness of the product (The 6 C’s: Called, Color, Composition, Cost, Care, Cut).
  • Utilize product knowledge to generate sales and increase customer loyalty to the brand.
  • Follow merchandising guidelines, replenishment procedures, and housekeeping standards to ensure that Ted is represented at the highest level.
  • Support the management team with executing visual merchandising directives.
Commercial
  • Demonstrate all requirements of Ted’s trainings and standards.
  • Deliver GOTFAT (Greet, Observe, Talk, Fit, Assist, Thank) with enthusiasm and consistency to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
  • Understand local and customer profiles and use sales techniques to build loyal customer relationships.
  • Achieve and exceed location KPIs and support brand promotions and initiatives.
  • Promote database building and clienteling to drive performance.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors and local markets.
Operations
  • Complete tasks correctly and efficiently following company policies and procedures; able to work unsupervised.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures; report unsafe conditions.
  • Adhere to loss prevention measures and protect company assets; report misuse or theft to management.
  • Handle cash accurately and resolve discrepancies as per host store guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Previous experience in a retail sales role, preferably in fashion.
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for a high-quality shopping experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and professional handling of customer inquiries and issues.
  • Open availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Enthusiasm for fashion and interest in the Ted Baker brand.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fashion or retail management is a plus.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands and working conditions described are representative of those required to perform the essential job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be provided. This is an onsite retail position at Ted Baker, Sherman Oaks Bloomingdales location, in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with varying noise levels. Employees may regularly stand or walk for extended periods and frequently use hands for handling products.

Regular typing and use of electronic systems are required, along with active communication with customers, staff, and third parties. The role may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as necessary. The ability to lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds is required. Vision requirements include close and distance viewing of electronic systems and products. Flexibility in pace and activity level is expected to accommodate business needs.
