Role Description The Visual Associate is a full-time, on-site role located in Short Hills, NJ. This role is responsible for implementing visual merchandising standards, including floor sets, product displays, and signage to reflect Pottery Barn’s brand aesthetic and seasonal direction. Day-to-day tasks include styling product vignettes, maintaining visually appealing and well-organized selling floors, and ensuring all displays are clean, stocked, and aligned with company guidelines.
The Visual Associate collaborates closely with store leadership and sales associates to support promotions, new product launches, and in-store events. This role also involves monitoring inventory levels on the floor, responding to customer inquiries about product styling, and adhering to safety and loss-prevention procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong visual merchandising and styling abilities, with an eye for composition, color, and detail.
- Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, demonstrating professional service and communication skills.
- Ability to execute floor sets and visual directives efficiently, including basic planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Comfort with physical aspects of the role, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and moving furniture or fixtures as needed.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to take direction, work with diverse teams, and contribute to a positive, inclusive store culture.
- Basic computer literacy for reviewing visual guidelines, product information, and internal communications.
- Prior experience in home furnishings, fashion, or interior design is beneficial but not required.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as business needs require.
