Retail Bike Technician

Overview

This role involves providing world‑class customer service in the Bike Department, maintaining merchandise presentation, engaging customers, selling products, building and repairing bikes, assembling exercise equipment, adhering to safety and loss prevention policies, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting overall store operations.

• Create a world‑class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement, including the Bike Department.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
• Interact with customers to demonstrate passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their sport or activity.
• Promote company programs such as warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty program, private‑label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Build and repair bikes in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage of the Bike Department.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
• Support the team across the store with an all‑hands‑on‑deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Prior experience building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Targeted pay range: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour (starting rate may vary; actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage).
