The emergency standby power generation field is a unique industry whose existence is not realized by most. The industry is largely regulatory driven, in that most facilities are required to maintain an emergency power backup system in the event of electrical power loss in order to enable the safe egress, and/or evacuation of the facilities of its occupants. Additionally, most commercial/industrial purposed facilities maintain an emergency standby power generation system to maintain the integrity of vital building air/climate, and fire control systems.
