Electrical LEED Designer

Summary :
Our team is looking for a skilled Electrical LEED Designer to support the design and development of energy-efficient and sustainable building projects. This position will focus on electrical systems, lighting design, power distribution, and LEED and sustainable building practices
.
The most common project types will include commercial buildings, K-12 schools, higher education, hospitals, and other building projects . This is not a product design role and will primarily focus on building systems and sustainable design.

What You’ll Do
- Support electrical design for sustainable and energy-efficient building projects
- Assist with LEED documentation, compliance, and certification requirements
- Incorporate energy-efficient lighting and electrical systems into building designs
- Assist with power distribution design and electrical calculations
- Support fire alarm layouts and panel selection
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs
- Review change orders and assist with project coordination
- Support project managers and engineering teams throughout the design and construction process
- Participate in site visits, field observations, and inspections
- Coordinate electrical design with architectural, mechanical, and other project disciplines
- Help identify opportunities to improve building energy performance and sustainability
- Assist with maintaining project documentation related to LEED and sustainable design requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with LEED, sustainable building design, or green building practices
- Experience with electrical building systems
- 2+ years of lighting design experience preferred
- Knowledge of power distribution systems
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Understanding of energy-efficient electrical and lighting systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and multidisciplinary teams
What’s Required
- Engineering degree OR 3+ years of electrical design experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Revit experience
- Experience or knowledge of LEED and sustainable building practices
- EIT, PE, or LEED accreditation preferred but not required
