Job SummaryThe Business Event Coordinator & Content Writer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting strategic events and communications initiatives for the College of Business& Technology (CoBT). This position oversees social media management, advertising, content development, and the creation of key publications, including the monthly newsletter and annual report.
The incumbent plans and coordinates college-wide events, including Executive Forums, Executive-in-Residence programs, Atkinson Honors events, networking events, and other activities for students, alumni, business leaders, and community stakeholders in consultation with the Dean. The position collaborates with the Career Center, Alumni Engagement, University Communications, and external partners to support career-related initiatives and student engagement opportunities.
This position manages event logistics, marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement activities that support the College's strategic goals and priorities. Occasional in-state travel is required to support events and outreach initiatives.
The position reports directly to the Dean of the College of Business & Technology and requires regular on-site presence during standard business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
