The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a tenure track

Assistant Professor to teach courses in Dance and special topicscourses based on expertise at the undergraduate level. This faculty position, based in the Department of Theatre and Dance, is a10-month academic year position.

• Teaching Responsibilities
• Full-time instructional load teaching in areas of expertise within the academic discipline
• Regular course meetings and instruction
• Mentoring students
• Other teaching responsibilities: all Georgia College & State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching the core curriculum and providing foundation courses for majors and non-majors alike. Faculty employees also contribute to the Georgia College & State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman (GC1Y) or sophomore seminar (GC2Y) courses.

• Assists with directing and choreography for the following annual dance productions:
  Dance Minor Fall and Spring Concerts (Bountiful and Luminous), The Nutcracker, and the GCSU Community Dance Program dance concert, and Theatre production musical

• Other duties as assigned.

• Terminal degree in a closely related field (MFA or Ph.D.).
