Assistant Professor Of Finance

The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and Technology seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor to teach courses in Finance. This faculty position, based in the Department of Economic & Finance, is a 10-month academic year position.

Responsibilities include a full-time instructional load teaching in areas of expertise within the academic discipline, regular course meetings and instruction, mentoring students, and other teaching responsibilities. All Georgia College & State University faculty share the responsibility of teaching our core curriculum and providing foundation courses for majors and non-majors alike. Faculty employees also contribute to the Georgia College & State University core curriculum by teaching topical freshman or sophomore seminar courses.

Faculty are expected to conduct research and develop within the profession. All faculty are expected to support the advancement of the department, college, and university mission by providing service to the institution.

Required qualifications include a terminal degree in a closely related field and some teaching experience. Preferred experience includes instructor of record for college level classes in the related discipline and a record of scholarly activity, publications, or creative works.

The available salary range is $120,000. Starting salary within this range is based on relevant years of experience. Relocation is negotiable.
